I have never had the opportunity to meet a porn star to ask these questions, but some of these actors do make personal appearances at Bathhouses across North America. The Bathhouse will book the porn star on a weekend and advertise his appearance in the gay media. People who are interested show up at the appointed time. Now what a porn star will do during a personal appearance depends on how comfortable the performer is with the fans. Every adult star is different. Some stars will only sign autographs, pose for pictures and talk to the customers – fully clothed. These are the performers that absolutely do not want anyone to touch them for one reason or another. But then there are the other performers who have no problem being in a towel and have fans fawn all over them. They even do a sensual striptease for the audience, and afterwards mingle with the customers for some one-on-one moves. Sometimes you may even have two porn stars appear together for an appearance, and together they simulate moves you see in their films – live and in the flesh! Watching the stars perform, the audience gets excited as if they were watching a movie. They start stroking themselves under their towels and quite a few loads get shot. Most assuredly, in their private thoughts, all are having terrific sex with the stars they see performing live. It is truly an opportunity for the fans to get up-close and personal with an adult film star.
Now most establishments try to play movies that are current, where a condom is used. Many places do not show any retro porn from the 70s, since condoms were not used. Bathhouses do not want to promote any type of unsafe sex. But after ten years of going to the baths, I have gotten completely bored by the porn that is being played. But it is not just seeing the same movie over and over again, that bores me about porn. I really need a good story to keep my attention. When a movie starts in the porn room, I wait to see what the plotline is about. If there is an interesting story I actually sit down and watch the entire movie. If there is no plotline, just vignettes of guys having sex, I will leave and find something else to occupy my time. Gratuitous images of guys blowing or f**king each other just do not interest me. There needs to be some sort of plot or storyline for me to stay and watch. Sure watching the sex is great. But I find sex on-screen more interesting if there is a story invested in the film. Using the story as a background, then you know why these two guys are attracted to each other, and that is why they are sucking each other's brains out. It seems to make watching the sex even more exciting.
Sometimes I feel like these films drag on and on and on. For instance, if one of the guys is blowing or having anal sex with another guy, I know that this scene is going to last fifteen or twenty minutes. When that happens, I can get up from my chair, go to the bathroom, buy a coffee, and make the rounds up and down the hallways, return to the porn room, and not miss anything! The two guys are still sucking and f--king each other, while I have gotten three or four things done! Seeing two guys f--king and sucking each other off just looks so mechanical on-screen. Sometimes I try to see if both guys have an erection. In almost all of the porn I have seen, both of the guys are not even hard at the same time. It is either one or the other that is hard, but never both. So those scenes leave me cold, since both of the guys are just going through the motions. I am more interested in seeing two guys kissing, feeling each other, actually making love to one another. That is what gets me hot and excited.
Now some porn that is shown can be quite disturbing. Water sports, fisting, S+M, and any other types of fetishes are kind of a turn-off for most customers. Whenever those types of scenes appear, the porn lounge is virtually empty. While there are some guys who do have a taste for it, a lot of guys find that type of material a bit disturbing. Generally speaking, guys seem to like watching two guys getting together and making love, with no pain involved. But what blows my mind is when I see some guy come to the baths with a take-out meal, plops himself in front of the tube, and eats while watching porn! The same way someone would watch the news eating off a dinner tray. Because some of the images are quite disturbing, eating and watching porn do not mix, at least for me that is. But then again, everybody has there own taste.
Now when I am watching a porn film, I stroke myself into ejaculation. But I try to hold myself until the porn stars ejaculate on-screen. That is tough because as I have said before, sometimes these f--king and sucking scenes take 20 minutes, before ejaculation takes place on-screen. So for me there is a lot slow, sensual strokes on my dick, before I start pounding it up and down like the porn stars on-screen. After I ejaculate, I wipe myself off, head for the showers and go home - with the satisfaction of at least getting-off. Of course jerking off in the porn lounge is sometimes the only action I get at the baths, when nobody seems to want to create actual porn with me. So in a sense, the porn room is good for relieving oneself. Otherwise a lot of guys would probably be going home even more frustrated. They did not get a chance to jerk-off with some hot, naked men, even if they were just on TV.
